Riverside Conference Centre
Welcome to the conference facilities at the Riverside Centre.
Different cross-sections of the community use the facilities here at Riverside – charities, private businesses, local government and organisations – knowing they can be assured of a choice of quality rooms, with technical equipment available in each and catering for all dietary needs delivered by a friendly and courteous team.
The Mini Conference room is suitable for smaller meetings with up to 16 -20 people, depending on the lay out of the room. It includes a large whiteboard and a tea and coffee station.
This multi-purpose space is only available on Mondays and Thursdays. It can accommodate up to 45 people and has a full sound and lighting rig, and a projector.
Riverview is our most popular conference space, and includes a projector and sound system. It is adjacent to the Main Auditorium and has stunning views of the city and river Exe. It is ideal as either a conference room or as a hospitality and refreshment area and can cater for up to 80 people.
This is our largest conference space, with numerous facilities, including a hearing loop, air conditioning, a sound and lighting rig, and a projector. A technician may also be available for the day (please make enquires at the time of booking). The main auditorium seats up to 160 people.

Café Connect is open Monday to Friday, from 10am – 2pm. Our team are happy to welcome regulars and new faces, with many popping in for a coffee, handmade cake and fresh, locally-sourced sandwiches, paninis and seasonal specials. It’s a great place to meet with people you know, and those you don’t know yet. We also have free Wi-Fi available. Takeaways are available by request.
There is limited parking at the Riverside Centre. However, there are two public car parks in Okehampton Street. These offer a full day’s parking for £3.50. St Thomas’ railway station is located nearby in Cowick Street. Buses run frequently between Cowick Street and the city centre (on the A, E, F and P routes). We can also store bicycles safely inside the building. Please click here for details on Okehampton Street Car Park or for Flowerpot Lane Car Park.
Rooms can be set up in a variety of formats, including boardroom, horseshoe, cluster, theatre, or whatever suits your event. Please indicate your preference when booking.
The use of a data projector, screens, flip charts, and free Wi-Fi are available throughout the Centre. Water is provided. All rooms are within easy reach of bathroom facilities and the lift.
We are able to provide refreshments and are able to cater for lunch up to 60 people. Alternatively, you can purchase food and drinks from our Café, situated on the ground floor, between 10am and 2pm, with the facility to pre-order individual lunches for smaller groups in preparation for a lunch break. Alternatively, there are other food outlets can be found nearby in Cowick Street, including local bakers, supermarkets and restaurants.
